Insurance & hail experts

Most hail damage can’t be seen from the ground. We get on the roof.

You pay your premium so storms are covered. Our job is to make sure the claim covers everything the storm actually damaged, not just what an adjuster spots in 20 minutes.

Free inspection

We walk the roof, gutters, siding, paint, and windows, take detailed close-up photos, and tell you straight whether a claim makes sense.

We document & file

We help you open the claim and build the photo report, so the damage is on record before the adjuster shows up.

We meet your adjuster

We’re on site for the inspection. If the estimate comes in light or gets denied, we document what was missed and explain your options under your policy, including appraisal.

Build & final walkthrough

Crews tear off, install, and clean up. We walk the job with you at the end.

A real Homey claim

$2,281 → $58,171

A Colorado Springs homeowner’s insurer first offered $2,281.80 after a storm. Homey’s full inspection documented the roof, gutters, downspouts, exterior paint, and fence damage, and the claim was approved for $58,171.79 in repairs.

Every claim is different. Coverage depends on your policy and your insurer. Denied or came in low? Start here →

“After severe hail damage, Homey & Allie took care of everything with our insurance company, above and beyond what we expected. Once the work started it went surprisingly quick and done very professionally. We had several walk throughs and every detail was taken care of. In the end we got a new roof and new paint for the entire house. A+ service and communication. Thanks again!”

FAQ

Straight answers.

Still have a question? Call or text (720) 948-5726, Mon–Sat 9–7.

How long do I have to report hail damage in Colorado?

It depends on your policy. Many Colorado homeowners policies require notice of hail or wind damage within 365 days of the storm, but yours may differ, so read it or ask your agent. See how Colorado hail claim deadlines work and the 2026 storm dates.

How can I tell if hail hit my house without getting on the roof?

Look at soft metal: gutters, downspouts, window screens and trim, the A/C unit and roof vents. Dents there mean the roof deserves a closer look. Our 10-minute ground check.

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. We inspect the roof and exterior, take photos, and tell you what we find. There’s no cost and no obligation.

Will my insurance pay for a new roof?

If hail or wind damaged it, your homeowner’s policy may cover it, minus your deductible. Coverage depends on your policy. We’ll tell you honestly whether the damage is worth a claim before you file.

What if my claim was denied or the estimate is too low?

That happens a lot. We document what the adjuster missed and send your insurer the evidence. If it still comes up short, appraisal is an option. See denied and low roof claims.

Can you pay or waive my deductible?

No, and no honest Colorado roofer will. State law (C.R.S. 6-22-105) bars roofing contractors from paying, waiving, or rebating an insurance deductible. A roofer who offers to is putting your claim at risk.

What warranty do you offer?

Every Homey job comes with a 2-year workmanship warranty, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell. Shingle manufacturers add their own material warranties on top.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We offer financing through Slice. Terms depend on credit approval.

What areas do you serve?

We’re licensed from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs, including Denver, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Parker, and Castle Rock.

I can’t see any damage from the ground. Should I still get my roof checked after hail?

Yes. Hail damage often only shows up close: bruised or cracked shingles, lost granules, and dents on vents, gutters and window screens. We get on the roof, take photos, and show you exactly what we found. If there’s nothing there, we’ll tell you.

Should I call my insurance company first, or a roofer?

Have the roof looked at first. A free inspection tells you whether there’s real storm damage before you open a claim. If there is, we help you file and build the photo report so the damage is on record before the adjuster comes out.

Will filing a hail claim make my premium go up?

It depends on your insurer and your policy, so ask your agent. Read does insurance go up after a claim in Colorado for what to ask. We’ll never push you to file when the damage isn’t there.

Is there a Colorado grant or insurance discount for a hail-resistant roof?

A 2026 law, SB 26-155, sets up state grants for roofs with a FORTIFIED or similar wind and hail certification, paid for by a fee on insurers starting in 2027. Grants aren’t open yet and the rules aren’t written. Some insurers already discount impact-resistant roofs, so ask your agent. No roofer can promise a grant or a discount. Read our Colorado FORTIFIED roof law guide.

A salesperson knocked and says I have hail damage, but didn’t show me proof. Should I sign?

Don’t sign anything until you’ve seen photos of the damage on your own roof. Any honest roofer will show you. We photograph every spot we find and walk you through it before you decide anything.

How do I tell a local roofer from a storm chaser?

Check for a Colorado office and a local phone number, look up their reviews, and ask the city or county building department whether they’re licensed to pull roofing permits there. Our office is in Lone Tree, and we’re licensed from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs.

Why did my roofing quote go up when I said insurance was paying?

It shouldn’t. We price the work the same way either way. On a claim, we work from your insurer’s line-by-line estimate and show you every line, so you can see what’s being paid for.

Will someone be there when the insurance adjuster comes out?

Yes. We meet your adjuster on site, point out the damage we documented, and make sure nothing gets missed. You’re welcome to be there too.

What should I check before signing a roofing contract or paying a deposit?

Get it in writing: the scope of work, materials, price, deposit amount, and a rough timeline. Colorado law (C.R.S. 6-22-103) requires roofing contracts on insurance jobs to spell these things out. Keep copies of every payment receipt.
